It was a beautiful day of writing. So much coming out I couldn’t hope to capture it all. But I think I caught a few good moments.
You may see the narrator refer to Mercury a lot in the chapters that follow, and that is because he is a primary character in this book, and there is a loose connection between himself and Saturn, which is developed more in an old book of mine called O’er There, Be Light — but for now Mercury is pretty much in the driver’s seat as narrator, in case there is any confusion. I think it is pretty well laid out when he says, ‘Mercury here.’ But all of this needs to be put out there in the event an ideal reader forgets this is science fiction. And any names or circumstances are purely coincidental, and you will find, the more you read, and the more this story is shared, how so many things seem and feel like they are speaking only to you—until you speak with someone else that reads it.
